Alex has played with and against players of all levels throughout his time playing in high school and collegiately. He has had opportunities to learn from coaches with a wide variety of styles and believes there are many different ways each player individually can achieve success on the field. He believes in establishing sound mechanics and helping players understand their strengths and weaknesses so they can work towards reaching their full potential as a baseball player. Alex is happy to work with pitchers or hitters of all ages and skill levels.

Pitching Instructor - Fabio Milano

Fabio Milano played his collegiate baseball at Eastern Connecticut State University (D3) and Radford University ( D1) in Virginia as he studied physical education. After 2 successful years at Radford, he signed with Fortitudo, Bologna, overseas in 2001 and played professionally there until 2013. In his time there, he won league championships in 2003, 2005, and 2009 and several European tournaments. In 2013, his Fortitudo team was the first European team ever invited to participate in the Asia Series in Taiwan. Fabio immediately made Team Italy his first year and stayed until 2007 when his family obligations stepped up with the birth of his second daughter. While with Team Italy, Fabio participated in the 2001 World Cup in Japan, 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, and the inaugural World Baseball Classic in 2006. He has been voted to 4 All-star teams and 3 times voted as best reliever of the league (closer). Fabio currently is Fortitudo’s all time save leader and fell 3 saves short to be Italy's All time saves leader.
Fabio has been coaching and giving private instruction to kids ages 6-18 the last 4 years since retiring from competitive baseball. He specializes in pitching mechanics and the mental aspect of pitching and also fundamentals of hitting.
Coach 13U BLUE - ADAM BUTLER
Adam Butler grew up in Lincolnwood, IL and started out playing youth baseball in Edgebrook Sauganash. He attended Niles West High School playing three years of varsity baseball and hockey. After graduating high school he continued his baseball career at Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, IA. He played varsity all four years at Cornell. Adam got his degree in secondary education with a focus in physical education and athletic coaching. Adam began his professional career in Iowa City teaching P.E. and coaching junior high basketball and football as well as high school and college baseball. He is currently Head Sophomore Baseball Coach and Head 16 inch Softball Coach at Whitney Young High. He also works at Illinois Baseball Academy. He is currently an elementary Physical Education teacher for Chicago Public Schools.
